Presented alongside the Catskill Jazz Factory

Alphonso Horne (trumpet), Candice Hoyes (vocals) and Gabe Schnider (guitar) join mountaintop 6th grade music students at Hunter-Tannersville Central for an educational workshop followed by a school workshop and free library performance in Millbrook, NY.

Jazz inspired new style, sounds, and ideas in French music, and thereafter, French aesthetic has inspired great moments in jazz. Students will hear Horne, Hoyes and Schnider explore the cross currents in jazz and French melodie, from Debussy and Milhaud to the hot sounds of Django Reinhardt.

This school workshop is closed to the community. To see this group perform, attend their free performance at the Millbrook Library on Saturday, February 6. 3 Friendly Lane, Millbrook, NY. FREE admission and all ages, accompanied by a poetry reading. Presented alongside Millbrook Arts Group.
