A Taste of Bach

  • Hudson-Chatham Tannersville Winery 6036 Main Street Tannersville, NY, 12485 United States (map)

Experience a taste of local wine with a taste of Bach!

Over two hundred fifty years after composer Johann Sebastian Bach’s death, he still stands apart from the rest of the pantheon of the great composers. While it can be argued whether nor not he is the greatest composer of all time, his music remains the most personal, the most essential. He is also one of the most influential composers of all time; Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau describes Bach’s music as “the language of the soul.” He’s inspired us to present a program of a variety of his most intimate music-- works for solo performers-- as well as solo music that was inspired by him.

Executed on cello by the young and masterful Caleb van der Swaagh, the event promises to be a unique, diverse and robust experience of the great master’s genius.

Admission: $20, includes a beverage of choice & reserved seating
