Two of today’s hottest voices in jazz saxophone, Eddie Barbash and Patrick Bartley Jr., come together for a premiere reeds collaboration. Join 23Arts as these two talents collide for our debut event at Fromer Market Gardens!

Barbash, a founding member of Jon Batiste Stay Human (The Late Show with Stephen Colbert), is known for American roots music but has performed with stars in almost every genre: jazz with Wynton Marsalis, classical with Yo-Yo Ma, rock with Lenny Kravitz, country with Vince Gill, funk with Parliament.

Grammy-nominated Bartley, founder of the J-Music Ensemble, was featured in the Emmy-nominated HBO special Wynton Marsalis: A YoungArts Masterclass (premiered at MoMA in NYC) and has performed and recorded with artists including Batiste, Marsalis, Louis Hayes, Mulgrew Miller, and Jeff Coffin.

Free parking available at Mountain Top Library (6093 Main St) and Bottini Fuel (6158 Main St). Beyond the Blues is an indoor/outdoor event. Guests are welcome to bring their own outdoor lawn chairs and enjoy the music en plein air.
