Jazz master pianist and Catskill Jazz Factory founding artistic director Aaron Diehl returned to Tannersville for a weekend of workshops, lectures and a special performance at Doctorow Center for the Arts.
Diehl held a workshop and demonstration to over 125 students at Hunter-Tannersville Central Elementary School, teaching the kids the basics about jazz, blues, rhythm and improvisation. Diehl demonstrated different tunes and techniques with the help of several students and music teacher, Shannon Hoyt!
Following his school workshop, Diehl took his talents to the Tannersville Mountain Top Library & Learning Center, where he held an inaugural lecture to commemorate a baby grand piano that was recently donated with the help of 23Ai and FOTO.
