In A Moment in Time, Alexa Tarantino takes us through a day in the life of a musician in quarantine. This snapshot of the creative process in this upside-down world is a reflection on American life as a whole, challenging artists and audience alike to look beyond the standard working environment and create a life you truly love. Tarantino plays a variety of woodwinds alongside piano, bass and percussion, as her six-movement suite, commissioned by the Jazz Coalition, explores the creative process as well as the hardships of confinement during COVID-19.

Alexa Tarantino is an award-winning saxophonist, woodwind player, composer and teacher, described by Wynton Marsalis as "a one-woman wrecking crew, [...] an indomitable force for expression, education, and for absolute excellence.” After debuting her suite with 23ArtsLive, she is due to release A Moment in Time on Posi-Tone Records in Spring 2021.
