A two-part tribute to one of the most esteemed and influential artists in jazz history!

Louis Armstrong is rightly regarded as the first great soloist of jazz music, and his influence permeates the subsequent history of the art form. From Roy Eldridge, Dizzy Gillespie and Ella Fitzgerald to Lester Bowie and Wynton Marsalis, Armstrong's essential qualities have impacted a surprisingly broad spectrum of music.

Trumpeter Alphonso Horne and pianist Chris Pattishall will explore the nuances of Armstrong's legacy, on trumpet players and other instrumentalists as well as vocalists. Join Catskill Jazz Factory for a weekend of music in honor of Satchmo.
